About

ARTMODE is a curated platform for discovering contemporary art & artisan designs and connecting buyers, collectors, art lovers, and galleries directly with artists and artisans. The platform presents selected artworks and artisan designs and facilitates initial contact, while all further communication and transactions take place directly between the artist or artisan and the buyer.

ARTMODE also builds partnerships with charitable organizations, non-profit projects, art associations, and cultural partners, creating a network that connects art, craftsman- and craftswomanship, culture, and social engagement.

Art Connects Cultures

Art connects cultures. Cultures get to know one another through their art. When travelling, we often encounter other cultures through their art: in galleries and studios, at markets, in museums, in public spaces, or through unique handcrafted objects. Art and craftsman- and craftswomanship are therefore an essential part of cultural travel.

Travellers are an important target group for ARTMODE. This is also reflected in the name: ARTMODE is derived from “Flight Mode”, the setting used on mobile phones.

ARTMODE sees itself as a cultural and digital air bridge that connects artists with art enthusiasts internationally. The platform makes contemporary art, selected crafts, and design objects visible and accessible across borders.

Artists & Artisans at the Centre

ARTMODE focuses on increasing the visibility of artists and artisans. Their profiles allow them to present their artistic practice, biography, and selected works.

Admission to ARTMODE—known as onboarding—is curated. ARTMODE is not an anonymous marketplace with an unlimited number of listings. Our aim is to build a diverse, high-quality, and reliable international selection.

ARTMODE forwards all enquiries directly to the artists. The artists conduct the sales negotiations themselves, and purchases can be completed through a direct PayPal link. Further information is available under “How It Works”.

In addition to artistic and craft quality, it is important to us that participating artists communicate with prospective buyers and customers in a professional, transparent, and reliable manner.

Partners & Social Engagement

ARTMODE believes in cooperation. Alongside artists and artisans, we are building a network of partners who contribute to cultural exchange, artistic collaboration, and social engagement.

ARTMODE works with four categories of partners: Charity / Aid Organizations, Non-profit Projects, Art Associations, and Cultural Partners.

Partnerships can take different forms. Art associations and cultural partners may cooperate with ARTMODE on exhibitions, projects, events, artist networks, and other initiatives. Charitable organizations and non-profit projects can present their work and mission on ARTMODE and connect with artists, artisans, and an international audience.

Art that gives back

ARTMODE encourages artists and artisans to donate a portion of the proceeds from sold works to a charitable organization or non-profit project. The amount of the donation is determined by the artist or artisan.

In this way, ARTMODE aims to create connections that go beyond the sale of an artwork or artisan design: between artists, artisans, buyers, and organizations working for a good cause.

Growing Together

Our aim is to build an international audience of artists, artisans, art enthusiasts, and buyers.

ARTMODE is an international platform and is therefore presented in English. Keine Panik! Profiles and artwork descriptions may also be submitted in German. We will help to translate the content professionally into English.

Each partnership and collaboration is developed individually, depending on what is most beneficial for everyone involved. Our shared goal is to increase visibility, create meaningful connections, encourage cultural exchange, and grow together within an international audience.

There are various ways to increase the visibility of artists & artisans, their profiles, and their work. Further information is available by contacting us through the contact form.
